Mornings

This morning is hard, I don't want to go to work. In my devotions this morning I read the part in Matthew were king Herod had John the Baptist beheaded to pay for his daughter in laws "dance". ( If he only knew that the price for one of those dances was sooo much cheaper a couple of thousand years later). Seriously, the guy(Herod) was going to give this girl up to half his kingdom. ( if only she knew that to get half his kingdom all she had to do is get married then divorce, a couple thousand years later) . The point I want to make is that John the Baptist annoyed the girls mom ( Herod's wife) because she was married to Herods brother first ( jerry, jerry, jerry, jerry springer) , and John told Herod that that was wrong, Herod actually liked John and didn't want to kill him, he almost was willing to accept the painful truth that sleeping with his brothers wife was sin. But there is no almost when it comes to repentace of your life, when God calls you out you have a choice, make the choice to repent.....or give half your kingdom for a " dance", or...... somebodys head too.. in this case....
